My previous version of this got sticky and hard to clean. It also started to delaminate so I sent it to the land fill. This one is a bit thicker and so far seems to be of good quality. Only issue for me is this is on a large desk with a thick glass top and it forms bubbles that you can’t get out no matter what. At least for now it cleans up OK and it’s not sticky so for. Time will tell.Bought this protector to cover my expensive wood dining table. Now I don't need to worry about damaging the surface of the wood table, while still enjoying the beauty of the wood. Easy to clean!We purchases the 60” round frosted cover. It looks PERFECT on our table.I was hoping after at least six months that the ripples from being rolled for delivery would have flattened out. But they never did. And I’ve tried everything. Aside from that, it is a nice thick vinyl and the frosted back does not stick to my painted table. It does stain.Using this to cover the top of an oak buffet. It fit exactly as measured and protects the wood as I needed. It is shiny as if the wood had a coat of varathane on it. No problem with bubbles, odor etc.I bought the clear protector. I almost pulled it off several times to send back but the husband kept telling me to give it time. I gave it time to relax & lay flat. It does protect my table but it’s kinda difficult to to make it look clean. Cleaning products leave streaks, so does water, windex etc. I have to keep wiping it over & over to get the streaks off so it looks clean.I got the frosted one and it looks nice and natural over my new table. It is great for every day use and provides perfect protection from my son who throws everything on the table, does his homework, etc. Cleans beautifully with Windex and dries easily. I had glass on my last table and it was so heavy and I broke it when I was removing it to put the leaf in. This mat is so practical and will be easy to remove when I extend the table. It's been on for 2 days and it's mostly flat already. I just trimmed back the length tonight and have set books on it to help smooth it a little further. Very pleased with this purchase. Have not trusted a hot pan on it yet but I did put our warm dinner plates on it and it protected the table.This is a thick, strong, and durable plastic. You won't be disappointed with the cut and quality, but as others have mentioned, it comes rolled up and you will need to flatten it out with heavy objects. It doesn't matter what side you are using, it won't lay flat right out of the box. After a couple of days with heavy objects on top of it it was fine.
