This is the second one I have purchased. This time I purchased the larger one, but they both work really well. The mat keeps the litter off the floor, but the great thing about it is the “envelope” style. Litter falls through the grate for lack of a better word. It is flexible so you can pick it up and easily empty. So much better than a mat that needs to be vacuumed or washed. This mat can be rinsed with a hose but I have found it doesn’t need that very often. Generally I just dump the dry litter out and put it back in place.I do have a covered litter box so I jput it in front of the opening. Another nice thing is the mat stays in place on our hard floor.
